This notice explains what personal data we collect when you use the PopSciCat Exhibit Store, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do about it. We have written it in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, write to us and we will explain.
The site is operated by Shanghai Inertia Automation Co., Ltd. (上海惯量自动化有限公司), an exhibit manufacturer based in Shanghai, China. For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, we are the controller of the personal data described here.

The English site previously loaded a third-party analytics service (Baidu Analytics); it was removed on 26 October 2026 for exactly this reason.

Essential cookies are required for the site to work — signing in and keeping a list are functions you asked for. The statistics cookie is used only in aggregate.
Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still let you browse and request a quotation, although you may be signed out and your list may not persist. Blocking a cookie does not affect your ability to contact us or to receive a quotation by email.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making, profiling, or advertising.

Our servers and database are located in mainland China. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with data-transfer rules, this means your data is transferred outside your region. We keep the amount of data transferred to what is needed to answer your enquiry and, where you ask us for a quotation, we treat that request as the basis for the transfer. If you need a signed data-processing agreement before sending us information, write to us first and we will arrange it.
We keep account data for as long as your account exists. Quotations and order correspondence are kept while the commercial relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can handle repeat orders and warranty questions. Technical logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted or aggregated. Aggregate statistics that contain no identifier may be kept indefinitely. You may ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time (see below).

Write to sales@popscicat.com with the subject line “Data request” and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify that the account is yours. You also have the right to complain to the data-protection authority in your country.
The store is a business-to-business sourcing tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
The site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as salted hashes. Access to the administration area is restricted and logged. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit the data we collect so that a breach would expose as little as possible.
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting account holders will also be announced by email.
